WORST DAY EVER

I don't have any pictures for this one- sorry. The saying goes an apple a day keeps the doctor away, therefore we are going to buy at least 9,125 apples so that I never have to take a sick Jackson to the doctor's office ever again. Thursday we took J in after he had a temperature for 2 days. (He weighed in at 17 lbs 3 oz) His temperature at the doctor was 103.6- but the doctor couldn't see anything wrong with him, so he ordered a urine sample and blood draw to check things out. So poor Jackson had to endure 2 catheters to extract the pee they needed and 3 needle sticks to try to get the blood (which they ended up doing the heel stick anyways- and it 25 minutes to catch all the blood drop by drop). They ended up calling us to say one of the test they hadn't gotten enough blood for.... I told them we would have to do without it cause i wasn't taking him again. The whole thing took 4 and a half hours just to find nothing wrong with him. He's finally fever free and playing like normal today! Long story short, we will go in for well child visits to get our vaccine shots (which must feel like nothing compared to what he had to go though this week), but we are staying home next time we are sick.

You're kidding? Oh I'm so sorry to read this. That would be torture for an adult, let alone a 5 month old. Glad Jackson is feeling better!
