Toddler Time 2

Seriously the best $4 dollars ever spent. He played with these pipe cleaners for several hours. (literally several hours... HOURS)

"Washing Hands" Anything with water is a no brainer for Jackson. Hand washing takes at least 10 minutes everytime. (We use washcloths alot, not as sanitary but its way faster)

Swimming in the living room. He wanted his little water wings on and ran around the house "swimming" happy as a clam.

Jackson's New Toys

We got Jackson some new toys using Kingwood Yard Sales website. Got a great deal on a climber with slide, Radio Flyer Tricycle and Radio Flyer Wagon. J and Hadley have been loving playing/riding on them.

Go BYU!

Thanks Mom and Dad for the Game Day shirts. (I'm wearing mine now as I post this)

Manly Men

Ralph made J a new big boy toddler bed so that we could get him used t his new room before baby comes. The finished project looks great. Jackson sleeps like a champ in there for naps and at night and loves jumping and playing in it in between.

The bed took awhile to make but mostly because J wants to be just like dad and help. Here he spent the afternoon making little progress because J wanted to hammer the nails in just like dad, but with poor aim and a screwdriver.
A much needed nap after a hard days work in the garage. They are so cute.

Toddler Time

I've been trying lots of toddler learning/play activity ideas from online. Some J loves and some he could careless about.

Jackson loves my nesting mixing bowls and enjoyed dumping numbers in and aout along with putting them up on a cookie sheet. Easy, cheap all reuseable.

Ralph had more fun with this than J. J couldn't care about hammering the ice to free the toys. I'll try it again though cause its free and easy and I think he could have fun with it.
I found 100 ballpit palls for 3 dollars at Goodwill. Lets just say he loves them and they are all over out house all the time. He had some fun in the pack-n-play throwing them around, but its not really worth the work to collect all of them into it since he loves them out.

These are beans and little foam letters someone game me. This activity J likes but he's done after 2 or 3 minutes. He likes the way the beans sound on the tile- so he throws them all over. I just sweep them up and put them in a bag to use again though, so at least its a cheap activity even if it doesn't last long.

Huge fail. I've seen this one several times. Jackson touched it like 3 times and then wanted down. I'll try again later because its cheap- since I own lots of  paint and I think it could be a good way to teach colors and how they can mix and make new colors.

Again with the nesting mixing bowls- he just really likes these.

Help Me! I've been abducted by Pinterest

This week my crafts exploded and I tried my hand at making some little girls clothes I found tutorials for on Pinterest. I made 2 pillowcase dresses- out of one pillowcase (this one turned out cute).

I made a huge puffy white TUTU! Its so girllllllllly. And it was crazy easy. Just takes some time for all the cutting and tying.

Scrap fabric tutu's are pretty big right now, and I had lots of scraps. This is how it turned out. I think it would be cuter if I had more coordinating fabric- but its still fun.

These are 2 of the 4 onesie dresses I made. Basically you make a skirt and attach to a onesie. A lady online added a little belt, which I did too, I think it makes it look a little fancier. The other 2 are smaller and kind of Christmas-y.

So that's my progress. I've got so many more crafts that are partially done or semi-started! But I finished these 8. Now to make little headbands to match. This girl is going to be way more girly and cutely dressed than I am!

We Are Expanding

We found out a couple weeks ago that we are going to be having a little girl early in November!
